SuperWastl)<\/a> sent us something really nice: he uses the <a href=\"https:\/\/glancr.de\/mirr-os\/\">mirr.OS<\/a> in a small piece of furniture. Like a kind of bedside alarm clock &#8211; only smarter. <\/strong>Thankfully, he also wrote us how he did it. And so you can use it as inspiration for your own furniture creations.<\/p>\n<h2>What hardware was used?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Raspberry Pi Zero (e.g. buy from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adafruit.com\/product\/2885\">adafruit<\/a>); but any other Pi will do, the Zero is just smaller.<\/li>\n<li>Adafruit PiTFT Plus 480&#215;320 3.5&#8243; TFT (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/Adafruit-PiTFT-480x320-Touchscreen-Raspberry\/dp\/B010M8UIXS\/ref=sr_1_2?s=ce-de&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1465147600&amp;sr=1-2&amp;keywords=adafruit+PiTFT&amp;tag=glancr-21\">buy at amazon<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>remaining components as always: memory card, power supply unit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What was changed?<\/h2>\n<p>To make the display run with mirr.OS, you have to install the special driver for the display. Then reboot and you are done.<\/p>\n<p>You need to do the following things via SSH:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><code>curl -SLs https:\/\/apt.adafruit.com\/add-pin | sudo bash<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>sudo apt-get install raspberrypi-bootloader<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>sudo apt-get install adafruit-pitft-helper<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So that everything is set to 3.5&#8243; still the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><code>sudo adafruit-pitft-helper -t 35r<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Then you will be asked if you want to start in console mode: <em>No<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Then: <code>sudo reboot<\/code><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0(OPTIONAL) Use zoom in\/out for display!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>How do you like it?
